Someone could wrongly claim to be an employee, then interact with your staff or customers. Someone might “rescue” items from a dumpster and sell them at a market 3 weeks later. You might be liable for faulty products (even if you didn’t sell them yourself). Or you could cheapen your brand and remaining product line.
Instead of putting them in the bin, smart companies (especially those with exclusive or high-end brands) destroy and recycle their products so they can’t be sold or used.
Specialty shredding covers a range of items, such as fashion and uniforms, but our shredder is powerful enough to destroy nearly anything. Depending on the volume and quality of the shredded items, it may be sent overseas for recycling.

Our process
Each step in our process is designed to ensure total, secure destruction of your archives
Book your service
Book your collection or drop-off for a timeslot and day that suits you. Our administration team will provide a quote that fits your requirements. If you’re delivering your items to our factory, call ahead to ensure we’re available to receive your goods. We accept drop-offs Monday-Thursday between 8:30am and 3pm. All onsite visitors are supervised to ensure security and safety at our facility.
Collection
Our drivers visit different service areas each day, so we’ll arrange your collection for our next available slot in our schedule. On pick up day, ensure your items are placed in an accessible area for collection. Our team will arrive onsite and load your items suitably to transport them to our facility. To maximise security, our vehicles have GPS tracking so that we can accurately pinpoint their location at any time. We also use this tracking to generate reports, keeping our staff accountable to safe and professional driving at all times.
Sorting
Back in the factory, it’s time to sort the items and prepare your surplus products or stock for destruction. In some cases, we will need to eliminate some materials early in the destruction process so that (ideally) all components are diverted away from landfill.
Shredding and baling
Shreddable items are emptied onto conveyors that feed a large industrial shredder. The shredding mouth is capable of biting through very thick pieces of fabric. It cross-cuts the fabric, producing a secure grade shred (approximately 13mm confetti pieces) that ensures your items are destroyed and your reputation protected. The shredded fabric (which now looks like mashed up wood chip mulch) is then compacted into bales.
5. Ready for recycling
Next, we prepare the destroyed product for transport to downstream processors who can continue the recycling process. This includes passing on any plastic, cardboard, and metal parts we separated out to the appropriate recycling facility.

FAQs
Can you destroy old stock?
Absolutely. Our industrial shredder is capable of chewing nearly any product into small pieces. This includes excess stock, faulty goods, uniforms, labels, boxed retail goods, and promotional material. If you have something specific please send us an email. We’d be happy to customise a quote for you.
How do I know it’s been destroyed?
We usually provide destruction certificates for any of our services, but with product destruction we’re also able to provide photographic evidence.
How much does specialty shredding cost?
The cost of specialty shredding depends on the type and volume of product, and how difficult it is to process, shred, and recycle/dispose. In some cases, we also have to allow for any fees associated with disposal. Contact us to request a quote for your items – we’ll be happy to help.
